Insurance Coverage for Autism

For children diagnosed with Autism, early intervention and continued treatment is critical.

The Illinois Autism Mandate Law requires all individual and group health insurance policies and HMO contracts provide coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders for children under 21, with an annual benefit of $36,000 for services.

KGH’s autism therapy services are covered under this law.
